The campaign kickoff needed an ending. We lit the school's main building from across the street and hung the cue on the film playing inside the room, so that when the president turned and gestured toward the windows, the facade came up with him — not a second after. A wireless feed of the room meant the operator was watching for the gesture rather than counting toward it. It was what people talked about on the way out, and the campaign went on to be one of the school's most successful.
