What we are
Halation designs live experiences. Light, sound, motion, air and scale are the materials; the equipment is how, never what. Not a production company, not an A/V vendor: we work alongside yours on the part of the event nobody else can do, and we take very few projects a year.
How it goes
You describe the thing you're not sure is possible. Within a week you get a drawing, a number and an honest answer. If it's yes, we design it, engineer it, build it and run it on the night, and you have one person to call the whole way through.
Safety
Everything we fly is engineered twice: once for the effect, once for the people under it. Certified riggers, stamped load calculations where the venue needs them, full insurance, and a rule that a cue which can't be made safe doesn't go in the show.
Who
Led by Evan Scales, after more than a decade making things for schools, nonprofits and hospitals in Boston. For each show we pull a crew from the best lighting, rigging, audio and video people in the city, chosen for the job, not the roster.
